Inspired by Kyle Gann’s description of Takehisa Kosugi’s Music for a Revolution — a danger-music instruction to “scoop out one of your eyes 5 years from now and do the same with the other eye 5 years later” — Five Years From Now turns that impossible performance score into a dark cinematic chamber art-pop drama.

A revolution arrives not as fire, flags, or thunder, but as a plain envelope: a bureaucratic ritual of delayed sacrifice, fading vision, and obedience mistaken for meaning.
